I have been busy over the last few days, cutting 100's of squares and triangles to make my first quilt. EEEK! I want it to be big enough to cover our bed, i am happy enough with sewing the patches together but what i am worried about is inserting the wadding and then sewing it up and 'doing' the actual quilting part. Any suggestions would be really welcome. I am not sure how i will get something so big through my sewing machine...
Anyway, i am loving it, it's a really therapeutic thing to do in the evenings whilst developing my addiction to Madmen!
Flower Power
In other news, this amazing flower has appeared from nowhere in my garden and i have no idea what it is - any ideas?
Baby Book
A year ago on October 1st, one of my closest friends had her first baby Georgina. And i was lucky enough to be her birth partner so was present at the amazing home birth. Wow.
So, i want to make something special for her 1st birthday. I was thinking of making a soft book for her, with things to do, feel, look at, learn from etc. I have had a quick google search and have a few ideas but if anyone has any i would be really grateful. Also where can i get some mirrored material so she can see her cute little face on one of the pages??!
Thanks guys!
Hope you are all having a great week.
xx
